Ioannis EVANGELOPOULOS is a civil engineer Dipl., construction management MSc and IPMA certified project manager, with 30 years’ experience in the construction and project management of multiple civil, IT, security, and mobile telephony projects, located at Qatar, Armenia, Greece, and the Russian Federation.
In the construction field, he has been involved in both public and private projects as a superintendent engineer, construction manager and entrepreneur for ten years.
In the IT field, he has been Venue Technology Manager for the ATHENS 2004 Olympic Games, IT& T Section Head VT for the Doha Asian Games, VT Program Manager for Dialogic Qatar, and IT consultant for the Technology Department of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games. From the above key positions, he planned, implemented, and operated multiple major venues IT and security wise, for a six-year period.
In the mobile telephony business, he has been an Urban Sites Rollout engineer in Greece, being responsible for the rollout and expansion of the GSM network, whilst from the position of Technical Department Manager of “Intracom Armenia”, he has implemented the expansion GSM network (120 base stations) of the country’s key operator MTC, amongst other subprojects.
From 2014 onwards, he is providing consulting and researching services to the Center for Security Studies – KEMEA of the Hellenic Ministry of Citizen Protection, in National and EU funded security projects and Critical Infrastructure Protection.
