Dr Stavros K. Parlalis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, a Master’s Degree in Policy Studies and PhD in Social Work. He had been employed as Lecturer in Social Work at Frederick University in 2009, while in 2017 he received the title of Assistant Professor in Social Work. Lastly, since September 2022 he holds the position of Associate Professor in Social Work at Frederick University. He is currently acting as Coordinator of the Social Work Program, he is coordinator of the PhD Program Committee and he is Director of the Ethics and Morality in Research Committee at Frederick University. Lastly, he is member of the Cyprus National Bioethics Committee. He has >15 years of professional experience in the area of social work, working with people with disabilities and other groups of vulnerable people, environmental and entrepreneurial projects with social impact, enabling the empowerment of local communities. He has experience in the position of Project Manager gained in several funded European with proven experience in project and policy design, planning, management and monitoring. Thematic specialization in projects in the field of social sciences, social work, disability, entrepreneurial and environmental projects. Finally, he has published two monographs, many manuscripts in international journals and chapters in edited books.
